How to Order Beer in 15 Different Countries!

¡Salud!

Proost!

Sláinte!

Well, before we get to the cheers and good health wishes, it’d be nice to have a cold drink in our hands first. Y’all know that as the warmer weather approaches, what better way to enjoy life than by sitting outside and sharing in a cold drink with your friends and family. And if alcoholic beverages aren’t your thing (and they’re not always my thing either), a cold soda will suffice! But, for all my Pineapplers that love having a cold beer to go with that meal, I asked a few other travel bloggers on the best way to order beer in their country! AND THEN, we can get to the cheers and good health and wealth wishes!

United States:

“Can I have a beer, please?” OR “One beer, please.”

Spain:

“¡Una caña (o cerveza) por favor!” O “Dame una caña (o cerveza)”

“Ein bier, bitte” — Ine beer, bitt-uh

Vietnam:

  1. Thank you, Ashley! I knew there was something wrong with the spelling! I suppose that is the phonetic way of saying it that I have on my blog. I’ll make the changes!

  2. Hi Cassandra! The correct Vietnamese spelling with accents is “Xin một ly rượu bia.” Thank you for this handy guide!

  3. Haha what countries have you visited and learned new words from? It’s always so interesting to me to learn about what “cheers” can mean in different languages and countries.

  4. LOL *HIGH FIVE* Jin! Have you visited all of the countries mentioned on this post? That’s awesome! Thank you!!

  5. This is a great idea for a post! The word for cheers in different countries is one of those things that you know so well whilst you’re there and then it just disappears from the memory. So it was great reading all these and it got me reminiscing about my toasting in different countries! Cheers indeed!

  6. Ha ha what a fun idea for a post! (Also, very important information!) I love that you included how to also toast in different countries. Cheers!
