 The (R)Evolution of Business & Marketing is available as a 12-week certification program for business owners,
service providers, copywriters, and content writers from around the world. Here is what you will learn:

A FIRST APPROACH TO CULTURAL COMPETENCE AND GLOBALIZATION IN BUSINESS AND MARKETING.

Learn more about the foundations and gather a general understanding of what these concepts mean and how they relate to online business and marketing.

WEEK 2:
Using your business & marketing to close the opportunity gap

Learn how businesses and marketing strategies can do social justice work and how they can shift equity and justice by closing “the gap”.

WEEK 3:
Branding foundations + brand message

Understand what makes up the foundation of your brand and how to hone in on your mission, vision, and values while writing conversion-oriented copy to connect with clients.

WEEK 4:
Structures for copywriting + storytelling

Take a closer look at sales psychology (in a non-manipulative way) and learn about storytelling techniques to help you connect with your audience.

LEARNING TO HAVE A CRITICAL EYE & APPLYING

How to notice when things are ableist or classist   

Learn how to identify ableist or classist language in copy and how to correct this to make your writing more inclusive and accessible.

Cultural awareness lens for an international audience 

Ditch US-centric views and learn how to write copy and content that’s aimed at a global audience through a culturally competent lens.

WEEK 7:
Niching + how to write for your ideal people

Learn about niching and how you can write better copy and content so it speaks directly to your ideal clients or that of your clients.

WEEK 8:
Catch up

Check-in on the assessment and answer any questions that might have come up.

LEARN HOW TO DESIGN A MARKETING STRATEGY & LAUNCH PLAN WITH CULTURAL COMPETENCE & LIBERATORY MARKETING.

Website copy + microcopy + UX writing

Understand the basics behind UX copy, website copy, and microcopy and how they can be used to share your business values and be more accessible and inclusive.

WEEK 10:
Planning for a sales launch

Keep track of everything you need to launch - from timelines to email marketing and sales funnels - and understand how to manage the process.

WEEK 11:
How to write everything you need for sales launches

Learn how to structure and organize writing sales launches and campaigns that take into account cultural competence and liberatory marketing.

WEEK 12:
Final call

Hooray - you made it to the finish line! Go over any pending requirements to receive certification and answer any additional questions that might have come up.

Who is this certification for?

The (R)Evolution of Business & Marketing certification course is designed for service-based businesses with 1:1 services, online programs, or courses that are active online and want to use their voice to do good.

This course is for you if you are a business owner, service provider, copywriter, or content writer.

How often is enrollment?

Enrollment happens twice a year! Sign up for our newsletter and be the first to know when doors open.

What are the times of the feedback Q&A calls?

Given the global nature of the course and our students, we will take a poll to determine the best times for calls. This may result in 2 separate calls for the group, if there are conflicting times.

How long are feedback Q&A calls?

Feedback Q&A calls are conducted every 2 weeks (bi-weekly/fortnightly) and are approximately 1 hour (60 minutes) long.

How long are the video modules?

Are feedback Q&A calls recorded?

Video modules range from 20-30 minutes. You will also have access to video transcripts to follow along. Guest sessions may range from 30-60 minutes.

Feedback calls will be recorded and shared with your specific cohort. You will be able to access them and rewatch if you aren’t able to join.

Do you offer scholarships or sliding scale options?

Yes! Scholarships and sliding scale options are available for the course on an application basis. Folx who are interested can apply for a scholarship and our team will review their application to make the decision on what is an appropriate sliding scale we can offer this course.

Additionally, we also offer a 3-month payment plan on all pricing, without interest.

How many hours will this training require each week?

Participants can study the material at their own pace, but we recommend staying up to date with video modules, assignments, and feedback sessions in order to avoid any confusion or overwhelm and make the most of feedback Q&A calls.

We suggest at least 3-4 hours each week to work towards certification.

How do I become certified?

In order to receive a certification, participants must complete the 12-week program, watch all video modules,  and deliver their final project. Our team will review your final project based on the certification rubric that takes into account 3 areas:

+ Understanding of cultural competence & liberatory marketing practices
+ Copywriting and content creation using a cultural competence & liberatory marketing lens
+ And a presentation of the marketing strategy

If your final project does not pass revision, we’ll work with you through 1:1 calls to make sure you’re able to understand and implement these strategies - we don’t leave you behind!

I'm interested in the training but not interested in certification, is this OK?

Absolutely! Certification is optional for folx who want to learn the basics and concepts of marketing with a cultural competence & liberatory lens.

By becoming certified, you’re licensed and registered to use these practices and materials in your business and with your clients. This applies to templates, resources, and materials that we’ve created. If you are not certified, you are able to use these resources, templates, and materials for your own business but are not able to use them with your clients.

Where will the private community be held?

To facilitate connection and communication, our private members-only community will be held on Mighty Networks. No Facebook for us!

What are your refund or cancellation policies?

Due to the nature of the course and the way participants receive materials, we cannot offer a refund once the course has started. If a participant needs a refund, we require at least 15 days notice via email before the course begins at hello(@)thequirkypineapple.com.

If a participant needs to stop their training midway through the program, we offer the option to join us again at the next cohort at no extra cost. However, any cancellations done once the course has begun will not be refunded.

How long will I have access to the training?

Participants will receive access to the training for the duration of the course (3 months) and one month after the course ends. In total 4 months of access to materials.

Where are most of your clients and participants based?

Our clients and participants are based around the world! From Colombia to Spain, the US to Australia, we’re a global community with multicultural members who share a passion for marketing done differently.
